Affordable and close to campus, the Co-op operates lodging houses, apartment buildings and townhouse apartments below conventional market rates.
It's more affordable because our mandate is to serve students, not make big profits. Another reason for its affordability is that housing members are required to participate in the upkeep and running of their household and housing community.
Participation includes work duties, such as cleaning, and committee work which develops policies and goals for the co-operative.
The Co-op has a mandate to pursue environmental efficiencies wherever possible. This is being demonstrated through retrofits of energy-efficient lighting, low-flush toilets and procurement of energy saving appliances. We continue to look for other ways in which we can reduce our impact on the environment.
Apply early to the waiting list as there's a limited number of units which become available each term. Please be sure to specify if you require barrier-free, accessible accommodations in the Co-op.
