Why the Co-op Bookstore?

The Guelph Campus Co-op Bookstore is your student textbook store.  We are run by students for students, with the purpose of providing educational materials at best possible prices, with best possible service.  The Co-op Bookstore is the original bookstore on campus operating since 1913.  We have a long and proud tradition of service and innovation on the University of Guelph campus, offering full counter service with friendly, helpful staff who will get your textbooks for you, and review your course needs with you.

We carry all new, used and digital options available for your courses, providing you with the choices that will make sense for your budget and learning style.

We're owned and democratically controlled by our student membership with the mandate of making student life better.   Our co-op structure balances a triple bottom line of community concern, environment ethics, and profitability as key values in all business decisions.

You pay the lowest possible prices because we're owned by students, for students.  Become a member and save even more!

Payment Options

The Co-op Bookstore accepts Visa, MasterCard, Debit Cards, Co-op Account Cards, Cash and Personal Cheques (with identification). We are NOT able to accept the Textbook or flex dollars on the University of Guelph meal plan.  We are able to process tap and Apple pay in store.

Ordering online and shipping

Should you prefer to order online you have two options.  Check out the course listings for any semester, or fill out our simple order form.  Orders can be processed for pick-up, or we can arrange to ship your books to you.  Depending on your location we offer multiple shipping options to fit your convenience and budget.   Digital products (eBooks and access codes) can be emailed to you at no extra cost. 

Save with Used Books

The Co-op Bookstore endeavours to carry as many used textbooks for your courses as possible as it is a great way to save some money over new options.  There are times however when used is not an option however, because access codes are required, or a new edition is needed.   We list the editions requested by our professors for your courses, and are happy to answer any questions you ever have about potential used options.

Sell My Textbooks

The Co-op Bookstore offers a daily buyback program to students, as well as end of term buybacks.  We endeavour to offer the best possible value for books at any time, giving students a return on their investment, and providing used options for our courses.  Prices offered for books change throughout the year based on supply and demand.   Just click here to learn more about textbook buyback.

Co-op Membership

Benefits of Guelph Campus Co-op Membership- 5% Discount off all eligible products at the Co-op Bookstore.   Eligible products are currently everything we sell instore, and all physical materials ordered online.   Please note online orders of digital codes and eBooks do not currently receive the 5% discount.
