Welcome to the Co-op Bookstore-the original student owned, student-run bookstore on the University of Guelph campus. Started in 1913, we have been providing textbooks for students at the best possible prices.
Spring 2021 update: Another semester of lockdown. While we're sad that we still can't welcome you into the store we are thrilled to still be able to help you get your course materials. Check out our course listings to see what requirements and options are being offered for your courses. Order directly online, or call/email with any questions you may have. Please understand that there is a high volume of communication right now and replies might be delayed by a day, but we will help you. The best point of contact is firstname.lastname@example.org. Also know that we guarantee to get you the correct course materials. There is a bit more confusion about information this year, but quite simply - if you ever receive the wrong item from us, we'll make it right. Please read our FAQs and customer care policies for more detailed information. Please reach out with any other questions you might have. We look forward to helping!
Traditionally (pre-covid): The Co-op Bookstore is the independent bookstore on campus - providing full counter service. This means you give us a course code, or your schedule, and we will get your books for you. We then review what's required, and what your options are.
Find us in the basement of Johnston Hall (the building with the clock tower). We offer a full personalized counter service: simply bring us your course schedule and our staff will get your books. We'll take the time to review your choices: course requirements and options & answer your questions. We stock new, used. e-books, access codes, coursepacks, i clickers...everything that you need for your courses.
Take a look around our website. Search for the Summer textbooks you need, order online, check out our textbook buyback, & learn more about the Co-op's student-friendly programs and policies.
Our Co-op Guarantee means the right books for class, at the right price - every time.
Join your student owned co-operative and save even more! You don't need to be a member to shop with us but a $15 Co-op membership (valid for 4 years) gets you an extra 5% discount off our Co-op prices. If you're spending $300 or more on your textbooks in the next 4 years this card will save you money.
